Working for a rapidly expanding TV & film Production company, this is a newly created role and a very exciting time to join the business.

 

This will work within this small, fun, lively but very busy team and require a confident individual who is a team player as they all rely upon each other. The role will be dealing with the company accounts and requires relevant experience, ideally gained within a media business.

 

Due to rapid expansion you will be involved in putting into place robust reporting systems/processes and work with the business to maximise profitability and minimise cost without compromising quality.

 

This role will suit a part qualified accountant who is looking to continue developing their career within a dynamic and growing media organisation.

 

 

The role:

  • Prepare the monthly management accounts to include Balance sheet reconciliation and P&L accounts;
  • - Prepayments and accruals;
  • Assist with preparing the company reporting pack with analysis on variances to budget, KPI analysis on sales, revenue and costs;
  • Assist in the develop of the management reporting pack and the management accounting process;
  • Assist with the revenue forecast and work on the upkeep and improvement of a model projecting future revenues.
  • Prepare the VAT Returns;
  • Maintain the fixed assets register;
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Royalties/Rights Management System;
  • Manage incoming agent quarterly royalty reporting, including review of statements against contracts for all licencees to ensure accuracy of reporting;
  • Assist with calculation of royalties due to key stakeholders and preparation of statements.

 

The person:

  • Ideally part qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent);
  • Experience gained within a media organisation would be highly preferable with a knowledge of Royalties;
  • Strong Excel skills are essential;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge others, supporting and troubleshooting;
  • Confident character who is highly organised and able to use their initiative in a variety of situations;
  • Strong analysis skills.
