Currently operating across nine sites, our client is an award winning provider of a wide range of specialist residential health care services for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, personality disorders and complex mental health problems. 

Position: Assistant Accountant 
Location: Chellaston, Derbyshire 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: Circa £20,000 per annum + additional benefits

About the role: 

As part of their on-going development, an opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join their Finance Team. 

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing the day to day processes within the finance function and assisting with month-end duties and the production of monthly management accounts. 

About you: 

The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards, or have completed, AAT or a similar accounting qualification and possess a good working knowledge of Sage200 accounting systems. Together with proven experience of the financial processes which cover sales, purchases and cashbook functions. Excellent organisation and computer skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to communicate well at all levels are essential.
