Commercial Finance Manager

Following a 'sector defining' round of M&A activity, this instantly recognisable brand are going on a pan-finance recruitment drive focused around hiring the 'future leaders' of the business, making it a fantastic time to join them. 

This particular opportunity is going to be part of one of their largest BUs (£5bn revenue) and have significant impact on the leadership team in order to drive performance, profitability and process. Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Business Partner and Commercial support lead to the Product team, responsible for the delivery of the financial objectives for the P&L with key focus on the execution of the annual business plan and financial performance that will help shape the 3 year strategic plan
• Develop the month end process working with Financial Management and Financial Operations to understand the postings and ensure accurate accounting and segmentation of all revenue and cost lines, and associated month end reporting
• Support the delivery of bi-annual forecasting and financial insight across the BU ensuring delivery in a timely and accurate manner 
• Working closely with the Management Information and Pricing teams to provide an improved quality of insight across the following to support the monthly financial reporting:
• Spot trends/anomalies based on the insight produced and lead on actions to improve performance
• To actively seek out opportunities to optimise revenue and cost, and challenge the business to deliver them. Focus on delivering results and improving profitability
• Provide commercial and financial support to the senior management team for development of viable long term products/propositions; including analysis of financial business case and supporting presentation at the appropriate governance board
• Conduct post investment reviews to ensure that product/propositions are brought to market in a controlled, high quality manner and achieve forecast revenue and costs
