An industry leading Leisure and Entertainments company is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in London. The Business Analyst will provide all aspects of volume and revenue reporting to support the financial planning, analysis and business insights. Ensuring reporting is timely, accurate, suitably tailored and relevant.
Business Analyst main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Operations, Sales and Marketing teams in the setting of targets and reporting of results for incentive schemes and cash discrepancy control
- Assist in driving Retail, F&B activities - analysis of stock levels, margins, best sellers, slow movers, and other ad hoc information requests
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly revenue and yield reports
- Support the management accountants to complete the month end reporting
- Ensure Cash Office reconciliations are accurately recorded and controlled
- Perform the daily cash to revenue reconciliation and investigate and clear any discrepancies
- Build and develop the revenue and cash reports to support the changing needs of the business
- Prepare the monthly reconciliation of management accounts to revenue reported in Weekly Statistics Report
- Provide support for the Events team to enable them to monitor revenue from events
- Respond to ad hoc revenue queries from all teams within the business
- To assist in preparation for internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
- Support the Strategic Projects Manager to drive the improvement in the quality and consistency of volume and revenue reporting across the London Cluster, ensuring that best practice is rolled out
Requirements for the role:
- Qualified accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or overseas equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong problem solving experience
