My client is currently looking to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Manager to their team
Purpose of the role
This is a new role within the group finance team, to support the development of financial governance and reporting for the Head Office Companies and across the Group and in time taking a leading role in preparation of the Group Annual Report and Accounts.
Key accountabilities
Group financial reporting - monthly, annual and interim results
Group finance and controls
Head Office Companies management reporting and analysis
Head Office Companies accounting and cost control
Knowledge and experience
Big 4 Qualified ACA Accountant with at least 6 months post qualification experience.
FTSE 250 audit experience ideally in the support services sector with evidence of auditing a PLC company, corporate head office and drafting audit committee papers.
Up to date technical expertise in financial accounting, in particular IFRS, plc reporting requirements and consolidated financial reporting in an international context.
The individual must be a good team worker and relationship builder with adaptability and flexibility to work across various sites.
A "can do" attitude with a willingness to learn new financial reporting systems including Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
The individual should have drive and determination, be able to work under pressure, hit tight deadlines and produce high quality results.
Ability to stick to month end and other reporting deadlines.
Adaptability and flexibility is essential as the timeframes for completing work are often short or time scales change with little notice.
Scope for impact
A key role in the Group Finance Team with significant scope for career progression through various roles in the Group finance department of a growing FTSE 250 business.
Specific regulatory knowledge and compliance
A willingness to understand and have a reasonable awareness of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Data Protection Act (DPA) rules.
Clear understanding of IFRS requirements and a willingness to lead Technical Knowledge and Expertise across Group Finance.
