Financial Systems Accountant - Permanent - Heathrow

This leading global engineering and manufacturing group has a newly created role for a Financial Systems Accountant. Based near Heathrow at the Group HQ, the Systems Accountant will take ownership of existing and new financial systems to further develop current financial reporting and analysis to an integrated and professional level. This will include monthly reporting, budgets, forecasts and long-term plans, as well as business case templates, across group, country and divisional levels.

The role will report to and work closely with the Director of Accounting as well as divisional heads. It is a key appointment for the group accounting function and you will also be instrumental in developing and producing high-quality report packs for delivery to the board.

It is an exciting time for this pioneering group as it embarks on further international expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Set up financial databases for effective data extraction and modelling
• Develop input requirements
• Develop reporting – monthly, budgets and LT plans, notably within corporate groups including multiple entity consolidated accounts.
• Production of high-end Visual analytics
• Develop financial presentations
• Develop business case templates

Skills / Experience:

• Proven experience working in financial systems accounting and analyst roles
• A highly analytical mind-set with great problem-solving abilities
• Experience of Group organisations and consolidated accounts
• Outstanding Excel user, able to automate and link processes
• Outstanding knowledge of data bases, reporting and budgeting
• Outstanding PowerPoint, able to collate and produce high-end presentation packs.
• Background from a manufacturing company would be an advantage
