Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a part qualified Tax Assistant on behalf of a leading firm in Sheffield.

This opportunity will ideally suit a professional, enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop a successful career within Tax. The company are looking to heavily invest in the successful applicant through providing opportunities and autonomy to the individual with a view to enhancing their skills.

The Central Tax Team are responsible for providing strategic tax advice, implementing tax policies, managing tax risk and ensuring / monitoring adherence to tax compliance obligations across International.

The main overview of duties will include:

*Prepare the income tax computation
*Prepare and submit the UK corporation tax computations
*Prepare tax notes for inclusion in UK corporate accounts
*Calculate corporation tax payments
*Prepare and submit CT61 documents to HMRC
*Maintain comprehensive records
*Develop relationships with the management accounts team

The successful candidate will require the following:

*Have knowledge of UK tax practices and legislation or know where to access the required advice
*Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Work alongside more senior colleagues
*Be a self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team
*Be able to balance a high volume of work and deliver consistently high quality work under pressure
*Take the initiative to identify new opportunities and challenge established ways of doing things
*Be able to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels within the organisation
*Demonstrate a flexible and collaborative personal working style
*Be comfortable multi-tasking and working to conflicting timescales and multiple priorities in a robust and fast-paced environment
*Have the interpersonal skills to work as part of a larger team to deliver seamless services to the partnership
*Be required to continue studies in tax, e.g. ATT or CTA
*be working towards an accounting qualification
