This traditional independent school is situated in the stunning Surrey countryside. With a reputation for innovation in teaching and learning and academic excellent, it is now seeking to appoint a Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the new Head Teacher, this broad yet hands on role role will encompass all aspects of finance, strategy, bursary and compliance.
On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for the planning, design and evaluation of efficient financial processes. Prepare financial forecasts and lead on year end statutory accounts for external audit review. Develop the School's Strategic & Development Plans and to manage the Charitable Operations of the School. As the key finance lead, your role is to advise the Head, Finance Committee and Governing bodies on the investment policy and decisions of the school.
This is a highly visible role and the successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, a strategic thinker with the gravitas to influence upwards and be accessible to all levels of staff. Working with this small, yet highly effective SLT, you will contribute to key decisions of the school delivered with integrity and professionalism. Previous education experience coupled with charity accounting is highly desirable.
