Due to significant growth in the last 5 years, a new post of Finance Manager has been created within a Housing Association based in West Yorkshire.

My client is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the Finance Team.

You will be reporting to the the Head of Finance & ICT and the Finance Director, working closely to ensure that the strategic direction and overall performance of the services are in line with the Group's Business Plan.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Line management of 1 member of staff.
*Ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial information for all group companies including:
-Management Accounts
-Budgets
-Cashflows and projections
-Statutory Accounts
-Rents and rent setting
-Property development & property costs
*Ensuring payroll is properly controlled and in compliance with employer legislation including relevant monitoring as required (ie equal pay reviews, staff pensions, staff benefits).
*Ensuring compliance with VAT legislation and managing complex VAT partial exemption and property development claims.
*Managing the Group's short and medium term cashflow requirements.
*Considering and improving financial efficiency across the Group.
*Ensure Financial Procedures and processes are fully documented and are complied with across the Group.
*Assisting managers with finance related processes such as insurance, contracts, leases, property acquisition, loan finance.

Ideally you will have experience of working in the housing or charitable sectors and knowledge of the existing and emerging social, political and economic environment the Group operates.

You will be able to demonstrate managing and motivating staff to achieve high standards of performance whilst operating in at a senior level.

The Package:
*c. £35,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience)
