Our client is a marketing leading, international services business that has experienced significant growth in the last five years. Having recently been through a change of ownership, the new private equity investors have ambitious plans for the organisation. The Director of Finance is now seeking a Group Reporting Manager to work closely with and report directly to him and deliver a number of business critical projects.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for the production, to a high standard, of all external group financial reporting, including but not limited to:
    • Annual group consolidated accounts prepared in accordance with IFRS;
    • Quarterly consolidated group reporting
    • Quarterly reporting to shareholders and Head office subsidiary accounts in accordance with IFRS.
  • The provision of technical accounting advice across the Group, including:
    • Revenue recognition for projects and complex contractual arrangements;
    • Act as the key point of contact for technical accounting issues;
    • Preparation of white papers on complex accounting issues;
    • Communication of IFRS updates across the Group;
    • Business partnering with other departments including but not limited to; Corporate Transactions, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit where required;
    • Involvement in M&A activity, including provision of due diligence support, identification and valuation of intangible assets/goodwill, joint venture accounting and annual impairment reviews;
    • Maintenance of legal entity structure, including corporate simplification and restructuring;
    • Management of the year end audit and relationship with external auditors;
    • Preparation of foreign currency models to support the Management/Board on key decisions;
    • Overseeing the Group Purchase Price Allocation process, including accounting for the new Group structure following buy-out.
    • External financing (i.e. debt financing, refinancing) and other complex corporate transactions;
  • Accounting for the Corporate functions, including tax, pensions and treasury (currency and interest rate hedging activity);
  • Management of the legal consolidation process on a monthly basis;
  • Planning and delivery of the annual year end close and external audit process;
  • Other Ad-hoc projects

This is a highly visible role and will provide exposure to senior internal and external stakeholders. The successful applicant will have outstanding technical finance skills and will be ACA qualified. They will have spent a significant amount of time in corporate environments and will have a strong understanding of ‘best practice’ controls and processes. They will have strong regulatory knowledge and be adept at managing and delivering multiple projects in a standalone capacity. Any exposure to private equity will be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.
