Our client is a niche, AIM listed pharmaceutical technology platform seeking a new Group Financial Controller. The newly appointed Finance Director is looking to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day finance function and play a key in developing controls and processes to allow continued growth and expansion.

The Group Financial Controller’s day-to-day duties will include:

Financial and management reporting

  • Lead and manage the financial accounting, payroll, AP, AR and purchasing functions
  • Manage the month end process and prepare group management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Management of cash flow and forecasting
  • Production of IFRS compliant half year and full year statutory accounts in accordance with AIM requirements
  • Development of financial accounting policies and processes

Treasury

  • Manage cash balances and treasury risk, whilst seeking to optimise financial returns

Compliance and statutory reporting

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
  • Undertake tax compliance requirements
  • Deliver full-year and half-year financial reporting processes and audits
  • Review the controls environment to ensure best practice

Leadership and team management

  • Lead, motivate and inspire the finance and procurement teams, giving them personal and professional development

Applicants will be fully qualified (ACA preferred) with outstanding technical and regulatory experience gained in a corporate, best practice environment. Applicants will also be adept at operating in a dynamic SME and be an effective business partner with the ability to work with stakeholders across all functions and at all levels.
