The SF Group is currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager for a global market leading business in North Nottingham.

As the Financial Reporting Manager you will be supporting the European region, working with the local finance managers and controllers, monitoring of contracts, intercompany agreements, statutory filing obligations and statutory accounts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain equity reconciliations for all subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal laws and ensure appropriate documentation regarding such compliance is maintained for tax purposes. Work with and support global tax group on various projects
  • Risk Management: coordinate insurance cover and claims for the region, in conjunction with underwriters & Health & Safety executives
  • Maintain relationship with the external and internal auditors and ensure quarterly/annual information provided is of a high standard and delivered timely
  • Engage operational finance team as appropriate and works closely with the European Controller. Work with and be a resource to senior management for various ad hoc work e.g.Human Resources, and Business Unit Leaders
  • Engage with and maintain relationships with counterparts in North America (Corporate Finance Manager and Senior Financial Analysts)
  • Maintain a rigid internal control framework that is Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Coordinate internal balance sheet reviews, implement suggestions following balance sheet reviews or internal/ external audit and work with stakeholders in order to continuously maintain effective controls
  • Project based work as directed by the CAO - examples include, working to reduce number of legal entities, part of implementation team on new standard general ledger implementation, cost control and related financial analysis, assist with various US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, assist with coordination of annual budget and quarterly forecast process, etc.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of working in Financial Accounting, and experience of working for a US listed company would be beneficial but not essential. You will ideally have experience of working in an international environment, and have consolidation knowledge, as well as experience of managing teams.
