Investigo are currently partnering with a prestigious blue-chip media business based in central London who are looking for a Deputy Financial Controller.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to join a fast-paced and revolutionary business as they continue to evolve and push the boundaries of their sector.

As the Deputy FC, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Review and evaluate cash flow movements on a monthly basis to determine the future cash flows for the business.
  • Business partner with various finance managers across separate lines of business.
  • Manage the Credit Control team. Set targets, monitor performance and interact with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure outstanding debts are at a minimum.
  • Present monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements to senior management within the Finance department with full explanation for budget and prior year variances.
  • Provide general VAT advice to non-financial staff as and when required. Prepare and submit the companies VAT returns.
  • Liaise with external corporation tax advisers on the companies tax affairs ensuring tax assumptions are correct. Ensure information provided to them is obtained in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Compile Consolidated Statutory Accounts for the Company's parent company as well as relevant subsidiary company accounts within that Group. This role will also be the main point of contact for the annual financial audit, ensuring information provided to the auditors is relevant, accurate and fully explainable.
  • Ensure there is an adequate and functioning system of internal controls.
  • Cover for the Financial Controller during absence and operate at all levels of the organisation including the Directors.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • Have a strong academic background.
  • Have experience of managing a small team.
  • Have strong experience of producing statutory accounts.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
