Axon Moore are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant for a respected Professional Services company in Liverpool, on a 6 month contract.
The purpose of the Assistant Management Accountant role is to contribute to the continuous improvement of accurate, timely and well- presented financial management information to finance and non-finance management alike.

The purpose of the Assistant Management Accountant role is to contribute to the continuous improvement of accurate, timely and well- presented financial management information to finance and non-finance management alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Periodic reconciliation of designated balance sheet accounts
- Contribute to the preparation and distribution of monthly Management Accounts information
- Continually monitor, review and amend as necessary all accounting entries to ensure that the monthly accounting process is continually improved
- Support monthly P&L reviews with operations, utilising the suite of financial and KPI reports available.
- Provision of weekly revenue forecasts to help drive operational performance and adherence to periodic financial targets
- Support the Commercial Analyst in the preparation of periodic and longer term forecasts and annual budgets
- Develop relationships with specific cost centre managers to facilitate an effective service to Operations
- Produce robust budgets and plans and ensure that the appropriate accounting treatments are implemented for incoming contracts.
- Provide timely and detailed cost centre management information with explanations for cost variances.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Part Qualified (CIMA preferable)
- Proactive, self- motivated attitude.
- Good accounting systems knowledge through exposure to systems such as Oracle, SAP, CODA
- Experience in a Management Accounting role
- Experience of preparing monthly management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Proven ability to convey financial information to non- financial managers in a coherent, confident manner
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
