Interim Commercial Finance Director

Our SME food manufacturing client require an Interim Commercial Finance Director for 6 months initially, based in South West London. You will report directly into the Managing Director, with 5 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the team capability in line with the company expansion goals
• Assist and influence the Managing Director and Board with financial and information management decisions to help shape the strategy plans and enable sustainable growth
• Ensure robust financial controls are in place, perform commercial analysis and minimise risk  in order to maximise the financial performance
• Review all financial data for accuracy and report this efficiently for utilisation by non-finance teams to help increase profits, working closely with the sales and buying teams
• Ensure all stakeholders understand the value of the financial data and utilise this daily in order to adhere to the strategy in a financially sustainable manner i.e. overseeing the management of working capital/ cash borrowing, labour interpretation, promotional effectiveness, margin control by product/customer and yield etc.  

Candidate Profile:

• A strong blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen is required
• Experience influencing the main Board alongside site level experience within a factory/manufacturing environment
• You must have a strong understanding of raw material stock holdings, multi-currency ledgers and trading
• Experience within a fresh food industry is preferred
• Strong team management skills are required
