VAT Manager
Our client, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking to recruit for a VAT Manager.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Advising all clients including the Not for Profit sector on all matters of VAT to ensure both compliance and appropriateness of adopted scheme
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Advising clients on all HMRC VAT matters including compliance visits
* Oversight and review of all VAT compliance work undertaken by the Company
* Advising clients on all VAT transactions including property, TOGC matters and partial exemptions
* To actively promote and grow the VAT services of the Company
* To keep up to date with all changes both actual and proposed to VAT legislation and to advise our clients accordingly
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Experience gained working for HMRC VAT office of at least 3 years
* Experience gained by advising the Not for Profit sector on all VAT matters
* A relevant indirect tax qualification (CTA etc.)
* Minimum of 3 years P.Q.E
* Educated to degree level
* Good interpersonal skills
* Computer literate - Sage etc.
* Clean driving licence
SALARY:
Circa £40k per annum F.T.E plus company benefits.
