Stock Accountant - £40,000- £45,000 - Reading


Wade Macdonald has been engaged by one of Europe's largest and fastest growing technology distribution and specialist service providers. The firm are highly acquisitive and have grown by 20% with a multi-billion pound turnover. The business is currently going through an exciting period of change and expansion and is looking to add to their team. They are now looking for a Stock Accountant to report into the Financial Controller. The Stock Accountant will account for stock across several warehouses. You will assist in establishing and implementing policies and procedures and ensure weekly and monthly stock checks are performed and validated against accounting records. Principle duties will also include:-

Management of stock accounts and reconciliation on a weekly basis
Accounting and validation of all stock movements
Attend weekly meeting with management to resolve outstanding queries relating to returns, booking errors, damage stock
Ensure all Balance Sheet Stock Accounts are reconciled
Run aged stock reports to determine levels of provisions
Liaise with External Auditors on stock takes for all warehouses

Our client seeks a Finalist/Qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong analytic and problem solving skills. You will have a strong understanding of stock related operational and control requirement
