Finance Business Partner - Bristol - £50,000 - £60,000

Element Recruitment are partnering with a dynamic Bristol based organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This role will form a pivotal part of the FP&A function and will be heavily involved in driving strategic/operational performance.

The role

As a Finance Business Partner your responsibilities will include however will not be limited to;

• Developing links between the Finance department and the budget holders within costs areas including, but not limited to, Claims, IT, Projects, Facilities and HR.

• Full responsibility for cost analysis including providing variance reporting to stakeholders including the senior management team and the Head of FP&A.

• Developing financial models to draw up cost forecasts and annual budgets to feed into the wider Group planning process including understanding the allocation of costs to business units.

• Support department heads to draw up business cases for investment and challenge assumptions, presenting to the Head of FP&A and wider management.

• Challenge budget holders over their level of spend and performance monitor against agreed benefits presented within business cases.

• Draw up relevant KPIs to monitor department performance against efficiency improvement targets.  

• Identifying opportunities for business growth, process enhancement, improving operational efficiency and reducing the cost base.

The Profile

• Ideally qualified (ACA,CIMA, ACCA, ACMA,) with 4 + years PQE or equivalent experience
• Strong interpersonally with an ability to engage with finance/non-finance staff
• Advanced modelling skills essential (Excel, SAP, Access) preferable
• Financial Services experience preferable however not essential
• Great communication skills – ability to engage with a large variety of stakeholders
• Ideally 1-3 years experience within a similar position
