Project Accountant

A fast paced FMCG business is seeking to recruit a new hire of a Project Accountant to become the business partner for projects, responsible for all financial controls, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are correctly allocated and accounted for. More specifically, you will be involved in:


 

• Applying investment appraisal methodology and reporting Project Investment appraisal to management
• Benchmark with standard costings
• Model lifetime cash flows with allowances
• Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project
• Create project recording in the accounting system
• Maintain contract, orders and project records and reports
• Authorise the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts
• Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
• Funding Reports

 

Successful applicants will be able to operate effectively in a high volume FMCG operation, with current learning and development techniques. You will have experience of project accounting and budgets and financial controls to maintain margins. You will have demonstrable experience of instigating, managing and delivering projects both inside the finance department and throughout operations.
