Management Accountant

Management Accountant, Kimbolton, Huntingdon, Salary £35 – 40k

My client is a family owned manufacturing business who are currently experiencing significant growth in both existing and new markets.

To help manage this growth they are creating a new, senior management position to take full responsibility for our accounts and company administration.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will have three key areas of responsibility as follows:

Finance Management

• Manage all aspects of the day to day accounts activity on Sage
• Produce accurate & timely monthly & annual accounts
• Managing budgets and reporting on variances
• Paying wages using an automated clocking in system
• Maintain accounts office procedures
• Managing one assistant

Company administration

• Managing current IT systems (computers, phones)
• Managing external admin (bank, insurance, energy, compliance, tax, grants)
• Maintaining employee records & manage pensions
• Collating monthly performance reports to ensure agreed KPIs are met

Company development/ improvement

• Developing new detailed monthly analysis to improve departmental performance capital assets, transport, production efficiency, sales & margins
• Developing company IT system to prepare for the future

The ideal person will be a member of CIMA (or equivalent), with a full understanding of management accounts

The individual must be capable of simplifying the process of creating accurate and meaningful management reports and be able to demonstrate a proactive role in a growing manufacturing (or similar) business

Most importantly, the right candidate will be a team player looking forward to growing their career by using their skills to assist a small management team improve performance by providing more precise management information and developing IT systems
