Financial Accountant

This FMCG company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team to take responsibility for reporting including processing, administration, financial accounting management reporting, forecasting and budgeting & preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities include:

• Accounting and reporting for various entities during the month end closure period
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monitoring and accounting for foreign exchange movements
• Responsibility for the P&L, purchase ledgers and sales ledgers
• Detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of financial statements for multiple entities. This involves preparation of statutory accounts and audit documents
• Preparation of operating costs budgets & 3 year plan
• Assistance with restructuring projects with significant liaison with group tax, Treasury and Legal functions on restructuring projects
• Daily cash reporting and variance analysis

 The ideal candidate for this role must have:

•  Qualified ACCA/ACA
• Detailed technical knowledge of IFRS – audit and/or accounts prep
• Technical experience of US GAAP desirable
• Good Excel Skills
• Sage & Cognos experience would be an advantage
• Has worked in (or audited) multi-national corporates
• This is a highly visible role with significant senior stakeholder engagement across function and in multiple geographic locations and so excellent communication skills, gravitas and the ability to work confidently and independently a must.
