We are currently working with an International and highly prestigious Financial Services group based in the City of London. 

They are in the process of launching a new consolidation tool and are acquiring another financial services group. As such, a qualified and experienced financial accountant is required to support the group financial reporting team. There are also two systems accountants, who run the consolidation process and the consolidation tool.

This role will provide assistance to the group financial reporting team , whose primary responsibility is quarterly, half yearly and annual external financial reporting for a listed and regulated financial services group. 

Responsibilities
    Review new system parallel-run data and new reports to ensure complete and accurate, and consistent with previous system
    Pinpoint new and old system differences and work with financial accounts and consolidation accountants to resolve
    Post go-live, list queries from detailed review of data submitted by entities, feedback to reporting entities and review re-submissions to ensure high quality data in consolidation system 
    Assist in preparation of financial accounts data and analysis, including obtaining an understanding of the data and movements
    Assist team with implications for financial reporting of new business acquired – both before year end reporting date and throughout reporting process.
    Assist with other matters as required by existing group team, including (but not limited to) input to IFRS technical papers, dealing with auditors, conducting ad hoc analysis and research projects

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
    Experience in IFRS reporting for Financial Services institutions
    User of SAP BFC or SAP FC consolidation tool 
    Travel to France (Paris and south) for short periods may be required - French speakers would have an advantage.
