Currently recruiting for an interim Financial Controller roles for my business services client in Guildford.

You will need to be an experienced FC and be able to hit the ground running to cover a 9 month period while the current Financial Controller is working on a project on secondment.

Supporting the Finance Director you will be managing a team of 20 through the direct management of the two Finance Managers that look after a team of around 20 staff. This will be a fast paced role and the ideal candidate will need to be technically strong and recent experience with IFRS.

This role will also be looking at strategy for the business ahead as well as day to day running of the team.

Paying a day rate between £250 to £300 per day.

Duties for Financial Controller

  • Monthly reporting for key stakeholders
  • Lead the development of financial information such as reporting, forecasting and business performance through the use of KPIs.
  • Producing annual budgets and implementing cost control.
  • Supporting the Heads of Department by monitoring performance against budget to ensure the delivery of targets.
  • Ad hoc project support with the Finance Director and day to day running of the team.

Skills for Financial Controller

  • Experience in a similar role and managing a medium size team is key
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge (will be tested)
  • Experience controlling accounts across a medium-size organisation
  • Strong Excel and systems skills, including Sage 50
