In your role as Finance Manager you will be working with a number of sites across the UK and be partnering with site directors to effectively cut costs and streamline processes. This role can offer you both national and international exposure and is a role that will provide you with a challenge. They client is looking for someone who can drive processes and who will use initiative to drive the business forward.

Description

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the full accounting operations of different sites across the UK

  • Monthly forecasting including variance analysis

  • Manage all aspects of the balance sheet including providing full reconciliations on a monthly basis

  • Work collaboratively with key members of various teams in the organisation to produce the annual budgets

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts and preside over annual audit

  • Provide support and training to direct reports

  • Provide strategic input, challenge and advice on various financial issues

  • Review and supervise monthly / quarterly billing, debt and relationship with external collection agencies

  • Preparation of VAT and Corporation tax returns in conjunction with Tax Manager (where appropriate and applicable)

  • Lead various projects within the finance team and partner with other departments such as:

  • improvement of finance processes,

  • management of assets and

  • advising of appropriate controls over payroll processes

Profile

The client are looking for someone who:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified

  • 5 years experience in financial and management accounting

  • Has a good understanding of financial management in a service based company and up to date knowledge of relevant finance and accounting standards

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to liaise with all relevant stakeholders from banking partners and auditors to universities

  • Strong attention to detail & problem solving skills

  • Ability to deal with and prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate Word skills

  • Good understanding of financial accounting and cash management

£35,000 - £43,000 + package
