A world leading global distributor of electronics based in Northamptonshire are seeking a high calibre Demand Planning Analyst to join the team.

The purpose of the role will be to manage the Demand Planning process for a defined Category globally and to ensure best practise forecast processes, methods, parameters and rules are used to enable the delivery of on-going forecast accuracy improvements. The successful applicant will also ensure all forecast exceptions are fully reviewed and managed to a defined work plan.

Demand Planning Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and delivery of demand forecasting for assigned category based on best practice principles that support and enables achievement of group service, stock and cost objectives
  • Interprets Global Asset and Regional Inventory strategies to identify forecasting risks and opportunities
  • Reviews and interprets forecasting exceptions and determine most appropriate actions to resolve
  • Identifies events or casual factors that impact the forecast and drive divergence from the normal 'run rate' e.g. promotions, supply issues, environmental factors, competitor activity
  • Management of NPI/ End of life demand forecast management
  • Reviews forecast accuracy reports; analyses and understands root cause of inaccuracy and action required to address
  • Works with category and inventory teams to understand forecast and demand issues and determines actions to resolve
  • Provides appropriate regular and Adhoc forecasting performance analyses and commentaries
  • Able to influence internal parties to provide information and implement short term changes to plans to enable the achievement of greater forecast accuracy
  • Maintenance and optimisation of statistical modelling software parameters according to product characteristics and lifecycle stage
  • Development and implementation of processes to identify lost demand and incorporate into forecasting processes
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly & annual quantity and revenue forecast, as part of the End to End Category process

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and translate data
  • Problem solving ability addressing root cause and implementing solutions
  • Knowledge of forecasting systems
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships and influence others
