Financial Accountant

The part qualified division at SF Group are currently recruiting for an established organisation based in Derby. The role is to support the group's management and financial reporting and support the Group Finance Manager to ensure that appropriate consistent procedures are in place and subject to internal review thereby giving credibility to the financial results.

Key Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly P&Ls for each of the Group's services within the defined reporting timetable
• Maintain the sales ledger and cashbook for the Group's Adult residential services ensuring accurate recording of the fees on a monthly basis
• Monthly Sales Variance Analysis, ensuring completeness of income
• Line Management of the credit control for all entities within the group
• Credit control for the adult homes within the group
• Monitor and report monthly the approved capital spend against actual and budgeted spend
• Manage month-end closure ensuring ledgers reconcile with nominal
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and tax analysis
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Support the GFM & GFD in financial review meetings with Service Heads

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities Essential to the Post:

• AAT or equivalent desirable
• Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of Sage 200 advantageous
• Strong and high quality verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to plan work and time effectively using own initiative
• Strong commercial analytical skills
• 3 years + accounts work experience, including experience using Sage
