As Group Controller - Financial Reporting, you will be based in London and manage a high-profile Finance team within the organisation. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and a number of other senior stakeholders across the business. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the integrity of the Group's overall balance sheet and public filings in conjunction with the Group FC and Board. Your duties will also include:
- Ongoing evaluation of technical accounting issues and any likely impact on the Group.
- Co-ordination and production of public filings and act as key Finance point of contact with the Audit Committee and wider business.
- Act as main Finance point of contact regarding M&A matters or related activity, e.g. due diligence and ad-hoc analysis.
- Act as Finance liaison with senior stakeholders across the Group Tax, Treasury and Commercial Teams.
- Provide guidance to Business Development teams in relation to commercial proposals/propositions.
- Ongoing management and development of the existing Finance team. This will include building on the existing, high-performance, high-visibility culture and regular review of goals and targets to ensure continuation of first-class service to internal stakeholders.
This is a high-profile role within a FTSE 100 Finance team. The successful Candidate will be have proven experience of working within a Group function and managing people. Whilst relevant sector experience is not essential, you will need to demonstrate that you have worked in a senior level Finance role in a PLC or a business of comparable size, scale or complexity. You will be a qualified Accountant, be comfortable managing Group-wide PLC reporting requirements and have strong technical accounting skills.
