Assistant Project Accountant (IT Project)
£30,000-£32,000

My client, a well-known leisure/entertainment group based in Mayfair, is looking to hire an Assistant Project Accountant to help out with Management Accounting and project work within the IT Projects finance team in an on-going temporary assignment. As this is a new role, there is scope for it to turn into something more permanent but it is as yet undecided.
The successful candidate will be part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification and must be available to start immediately. They must be at intermediate level Excel (pivot tables & vlookups) and ideally have experience using Hyperion or a similar system.
The role will include the following:
* Assisting the IT Accountant in providing management information to IT budget holders and to support them in cost management and control.
* Responsible for assisting with producing monthly management accounts for Project function
* Managing the IT order processing and invoice approval processes and ensuring the procurement and GAD processes are followed.
* Provide support to the inter-company team in finance with queries.
* Allocation of Project Management Time.
* Assisting with operational resource planning
* Recharging IT Capital Projects that are funded elsewhere in the group. Provide the relevant backup and respond to queries about these charges.
