Blackwaters is recruiting a Head of Commercial Finance for a growing maintenance and property consulting group, based in Sussex.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role has broad reaching responsibility for the commercial success of the business through:
- Delivery of successful bid modelling and bid review work to drive new commercial opportunities
- Review contract profitability; assess potential efficiencies
- Providing the board with accurate project forecasting information and cost reduction opportunities
- Managing client relationships and relationships with any Joint Venture partners
- Monitor contract revenues and ensure that all activity remains "in scope"
Other key drivers for the role:
- Managing the day to day finance and reporting function (month end/year end/FP&A etc)
- Continuous growth agenda with client facing approach
- Investment and ROI appraisal
- Operational business partnering
The ultimate deliverable for this role is to drive growth and profitability for the division and ensure that current projects remain on track.
Candidate attributes:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience within a mid-long term contracts environment (engineering/Facilities/construction or similar)
- Exposure to complex contracts and pricing
- Excellent commercial acumen
