Our client is a growing professional services company based in the heart of Leeds City Centre who are part of a successful group of businesses. They are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to cover maternity for 12 months and help provide the leadership team and board with continual financial and commercial support during this time.

The contract would be ideal for either an experienced Finance Manager or for a strong Management Accountant seeking to gain the experience of stepping up into a managerial position. The role involves all the essential financial responsibilities within an SME, including managing 2 staff, and also combines a great deal of commercial and project work to support the senior leadership and board.

You must have an open and outgoing approach to relationship building as their team culture is extremely important to them. You will also be required to business partner with the CEO and the Operational Managers to give them support throughout the year.

Key responsibilities:
*Production of the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis
*Production of the weekly cash flow forecast for submission to the group company
*Production of financial information for weekly meetings held with senior management
*Job costing analysis
*Production of the annual statutory accounts
*Management of the annual audit and full completion of year end documentation
*Preparation and finalisation of the 2018 annual budget
*VAT returns and Corporation tax computations
*Management of a small accounts team including an Accounts Assistant and Assistant Accountant

Candidate Profile:
*You will an open and outgoing approach to relationship building
*You will have experience of producing management accounts for SME type businesses
*You will have experience or an understanding of the costing and billing processes within a professional services industry
*You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) although consideration will be given to QBE
*You will thrive in a collaborative working environment
