Our client is a leading PE backed financial services business with ambitious growth plans. The business is seeking to hire a Financial Controller to support the growth. Key responsibilities will include:
- Give IFRS support to acquisition accounting of acquired businesses
- Give general IFRS guidance for production of Statutory Accounts and where relevant to US based Private Equity shareholder(s)
- Support the CFO in reporting to the PE house for
- Monthly management accounts and adjustments (reported and adjusted EBITDA)
- Quarterly reporting
- Annual statutory accounts cycle and reporting
- Adhoc reporting/queries as and when required
- Assist in Tax matters across the group
- Liaising with group auditors
- Company “end of life” deregistration (FCA and Companies House)
- Ensure the year end accounting and audit process is delivered
- Responsible for the timely completion of the financial aspects of the RMARs (FCA reporting) for all relevant group companies
- Constant review and improvement of the Group’s systems of internal controls as the Group evolves and changes, including the implementation and maintenance of the Control Framework.
- Deputising for the CFO as and when required
You will be a Qualified Accountant with strong technical skills acquired from practice. You must have experience of working for a fast paced PE backed company. It would be desirable for the candidate to have experience of working in the financial services sector. The candidate must have the gravitas to deputise for the CFO and will be comfortable working with PE investors.
