This is a truly fantastic opportunity. Our client is a leading not for profit/charity organisation with a turnover for several hundred million pounds based in London are looking to recruit a Group Accountant.
This role reports into the Head of Group Accounting, who previously did this role and will give you the full support and training needed to succeed within a large and complex finance department. Additionally, while this organisation is charitable by nature, it is very commercially run and would give you future career options of whether to stay in the not for profit sector or continue a career in the commercial sector.
As the Group Accountant you will manage, coach and lead a part qualified accountant, who will support you with the following; providing a financial accounting service, ensuring the integrity of the trail balance; taking accountability for submission of the financial results, leading on the year-end statutory accounts; ensure the cashflow is correctly recorded across the Group; work closely with senior managers across the business to assist in strategic decision making and to lead on various technical accounting projects, such as rewriting the chart of accounts.
The experience gained in this role cannot be overstated. You will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record of producing statutory accounts to tight deadlines.
