An experienced qualified accountant is urgently needed for a permanent Finance Manager role and to be based on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. Close to Scarborough, the company are a privately owned successful business working in a niche market and experiencing significant growth.
THE ROLE
-The successful applicant will manage all aspects of the accounting function, reviewing and developing the financial systems and processes as and when required. This is broad based, hands on role that will suit a qualified accountant with all round skills
-Monthly management accounts will need to be prepared along with the monthly analysis and review, financial planning, analysing costs/margins and profits across the business
-The preparation of statutory accounts will be required, as will close liaison with the auditors, Directors and senior management.
-Previous experience of costings and preparing tenders would be beneficial and a high degree of systems literacy is essential. SAP knowledge is a distinct advantage.
-The role has two direct reports in at accounts support level and the position itself will report into the Managing Director.
THE CANDIDATE
-Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in the SME sector and communicating with the owners/directors
-You are self motivated and forward thinking. You like a team playing culture and are able to meet deadlines, prioritise effectively, communicate with clarity and enjoy working across the business to provide vital management information to aid the decision making process
-Previous experience of working with foreign currency is desirable as is familiarity with European/International accounting regulations
-Intellectually robust and with a methodical thought process you will be looking to take on a new challenge where your transferable skills can be used to the benefits of this successful and still growing company
-Qualified by experience candidates will also be considered as will newly qualified candidates looking to exit professional practice, providing the relevant skills and experience required to undertake the role are there.
