Group Finance Manager

Our client is a fast growing Business Services organisation who have experienced significant change in the last 12 months. With a truly global footprint, and having undertaking a strategic review of the business, they are now well placed to set out and deliver on their business plan for the coming financial year. With a Board of Directors who demonstrate a wealth of experience in their sector, this year is certain to be a time of investment, development and growth. 

In order to compliment the strategic objectives, they are looking to recruit a technically focussedGroup Finance Manager. This is a business critical role reporting into the Group Financial Controller, requiring the successful individual to deliver operational excellence across finance. Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Group Financial Controller with the production of the year end Annual Report and Financial Statements and Interims for the Group (IFRS);

• Oversee and review all Management Reporting and Head Office costs, produced by the Group Finance Manager;

• Supporting with the alignment of the Chart of Accounts in preparation of a new IT system – Microsoft Dynamics; 

• Leading initiatives around best practice for management and bank reporting;

• Developing a strong and supportive relationship with the Groups professional advisors and new audit firm;

• Managing and developing a team of up to 5 people to ensure future succession planning can be achieved;

• Managing any technical issues that may arise for the group structure, including but not limited to equity accounting for JV’s, transfer pricing and hedging;

• Supporting the Group Financial Controller with adhoc projects as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Qualified Accountant – ACA from a Top 6 Accountancy firm at Manager/Senior Manager level looking for their 1st or 2nd Industry move; 

• Experience managing Head Office Audits, demonstrating strong knowledge of consolidations;

• Motivated to join a business that will mentor the successful candidate to be a successor to the Group Financial Controller;

• The desire to create a culture that encourages continuous process improvement;

• Strong technical skills, with a commercial mindset;

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present to the Executive Team;

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual that works smart and delivers fast.
