With nearly 3000 locations, my client has premises in some of the most prestigious international cities. Continuing to expand its UK and international offering, my client is unveiling a brand new hotel in the heart of Birmingham city centre. As a result, my client is now recruiting a Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will have a 'hands-on' role, manage 1 Finance Assistant, and take ownership costs, forecasts and accounts. Further responsibilities will extend to overseeing AP/AR Ledgers, Balance Sheets and processing payroll. You will be a natural communicator, liaising regularly with Senior Management regards any business changes.

The ideal candidate will have proven, successful Finance and Accountancy experience in a similar role in a hotel, travel or hospitality environment. You will have great people management skills and will be responsible for creating and maintaining a motivated and professional team. As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of your own workload and for the success of your department. Furthermore, you will have great attention to detail, be a team player and understand the importance of good customer focus. Candidates who are ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified will be considered, as will those who are 'Qualified by Experience'. With the ability to understand the bigger picture, you will demonstrate develop relationships across the Group.
