Finance Manager, Watford
£40,000 - £45,000 plus Bonus plus Excellent Benefits
We are currently working alongside a rapidly growing SME to source a Finance Manager looking for a new challenge. This is genuinely an exceptional opportunity and a chance to gain a real breadth of experience in a small, but growing business.
Given the size of the business you will be guaranteed varied exposure and the opportunity to get involved in exciting ad hoc projects working alongside Senior Managers and Directors.
Main responsibilities:
- Manager the day to day operations of the finance function
- Oversee the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control Function
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed and any issues addressed
- Process month end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Prepare for annual external audit as well as dealing with auditors accordingly
- Prepare VAT Returns and ad-hoc financial reports
- In depth and insightful commercial analysis
- Developing operational and strategic plans with senior managers
- Supporting the Financial Director with ad hoc projects
- Mentoring the junior members of the finance team and ensuring their continued development
- Presenting management information to the Finance Director
The successful candidate must be self-motivated with a real drive to succeed and overcome any obstacle presented to them. You will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA Newly Qualified or studying towards your Qualification with previous experience doing a similar role.
You will be supported by the Finance Director when necessary, but will be given the freedom to work autonomously and add real value to the business. You will be a confident and effective communicator, able to work closely with Sales and Marketing teams and will pride yourself on having a strong work ethic.
