Our client, an expanding Group within the Renewable Energy sector, is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support the finance function with the preparation and maintenance of sales, credit control and bank reconciliations.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Preparation of sales invoices for multiple companies
- Issuing customer statements on a monthly basis
- Holding weekly credit control meetings, escalating issues when required
- Collating information to enable the Management Accountant to prepare month end accruals and to provide sales and purchase information to assist with cash flow forecasting
The Assistant Accountant will also:
- Monitor company bank accounts and ensure all transactions are recorded in the Cashbook in an accurate and timely manner
- Be responsible for the control and issue of petty cash to managers and staff in line with company policies and procedures, as and when required
- Complete Government Statistics forms
- Reconcile month end controls for multiple companies
Additional responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant include:
- Management of corporate credit card accounts
- Monthly CIS returns
- Assistance with the preparation of the monthly management accounts when required
Suitable applicants for the Assistant Accountant role should:
