Head of Finance - US Based

Our client, a successful entrepreneurial business experiencing excellent growth, seeks a Head of Finance for its US business. Reporting into the UK based Group Chief Financial Officer and locally to the US CEO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for all aspects of accounting; from financial accounts, management accounting, forecasting and special projects. You will work with the local CEO to provide sound financial advice and support, work with operations to ensure cost efficiencies are implemented and that supplier contracts are in place and that appropriate costings are applied where appropriate. As the business expands, this role will take on responsibility for establishing the accounting processes for the new sites and ensure that reporting to the Group CFO is accurate, timely and insightful.
This is a highly autonomous role requiring a qualified accountant - CPA, ACCA or equivalent - with strong financial and management accounting skills and good commercial acumen. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels within the US organisation, key suppliers and be confident in reporting to the Group CFO and leadership team in the UK.

Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Qualified accountant - CPA, ACCA or equivalent with post-qualification experience
• Strong financial and management accounting including cash-flow forecasting and budgeting
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• The ability to work with autonomy and the confidence to report to a local CEO and overseas CFO
• Experience gained in the hospitality, entertainment, licenced or food sector would be advantageous
• Strong IT skills including good Excel
• Previous EPOS system experience would be beneficial
