This is a unique opportunity to take a Financial Controller position in the headquarters of a fast-growing media/tech company. Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will be exposed to the senior management team, CEO and operations and commercial directors. This is a permanent position with significant career growth opportunities based in Park Royal, London.
Your Responsibilities
- Group accounts consolidation - correct treatment of goodwill / interco transfer pricing / dividends etc
- Cashflow: Manage business cashflow and optimize working capital requirements
- Audit: Liaise with external auditors and Group Finance to prepare statutory accounts
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows. Roll budgets out to departments as appropriate (bookings, warehouse, marketing, IT)
- Financial process integration of corporate acquisitions such as Take2.
- Assistance with integration of systems such as Office Manager (in-house software) and Sage for acquisition companies such as New York & Take2 (working with Operations team)
- Assistance with preparation of, and ultimate responsibility for, the monthly board pack (working with Finance Manager) including Monthly Consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow & KPIs all with associated commentary
- Branch analysis (data / statistics). Optimise reporting to non-financial business heads & monthly communication with key management team.
- Preparation (with Finance Manager and Group Systems Manager) of monthly KPIs & commentary. Communicating to the operations team.
- Monitoring and reporting capex spend and analysis of return on capex
- Tax: Liaise with tax consultants and implement guidance
- Continuous improvement: Review and improve financial processes and systems
Your Skills / experience / qualifications
- Excellent academic record including A-level mathematics
- University degree 2:1 or higher
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with minimum 2 years PQE
- Hands-on accounting experience
- Excellent Excel skills (macros not required)
- Experience of direct line management
- Permanent residence and right to work in the UK
- Accuracy, attention to detail, good written communication and presentation of data
