Financial Accountant Financial Accountant for a Construction business based in the City £60-65k

A fast growing construction business based in the City is currently recruiting a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join the finance team. As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for supporting financial decision making by collecting, analysing, investigating and reporting financial information. Key to this role will be building on and improving current processes, spotting tends and anomalies within the financial data. Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing the month end process, including reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaising with internal and external audits
• Preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP & IFRS
• Preparation of monthly reporting packs
• Building close internal relationships with core business functions
• Analytical support to the deal flow team with regards to merger and acquisition activity
  

You must have a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), and also have a solid construction background to be considered for this role. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of financial reporting standards or UK accounting standards and current developments would be desirable having proven experience of working in a similar role in a finance team.
