Are you currently immediately available, with a treasury, banking or accounts background, and looking for a new challenge? Our client is one of the most established business services clients in the UK, and boasts a superb reputation combined with prestigious offices and a great training and development platform for all staff.

Based from the Bracknell Head Office, our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to work closely with the Financial Accounting team, initially for 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension beyond this time, due to sign off and performance. You are likely to have worked in a similar business services, or financial services background, with recent treasury/reconcilations exposure.

As the Finance Assistant, you will be working within a close-knit treasury team supporting them with various tasks, which will include:

- Responsibility for the accurate processing and timely allocation of all bank statement and direct debit s transactions

- Performing daily bank reconciliation & settlement of multiple entity cash receipts, ensuring the transfer of funds to the appropriate lender bank accounts

. Providing daily bank statement reconciliations and processing of all funds including cheques

- Handle any queries with regards to bounced cheques

- Perform daily investigations as and when required

- Resolve any payment queries efficently

- Create daily cash transfer reports

- Bank account reconciliations and BAC's file processing

Ideal profile for the Finance Assistant candidate to offer:

  • Previous work experience in loan servicing / cash allocations in the Financial or Banking sector
  • Excellent PC / Microsoft skills - ideally intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Takes responsibility & ownership for own role
  • Pro-active; flexible and adaptable to change
  • Detail conscious with good communication skills / delivering exceptional customer service at all times
  • Display organisational skills & ability to plan workflows to achieve deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and works well in a team; contributes to the achievement of team objectives
  • Willingness to seek new ways of improving current procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to research issues as they arise and make recommendations for resolution
