Head of Finance Business Partnering job based in Milton Keynes for large public sector organisation

Your new company

Your new company is a public sector organisation operating on a multi-national scale. The organisation is currently going through an interesting transitional period, both in the finance function and the wider business.

Your new role

Your new role will be as a key partner to the managing director, reporting into the CFO. You will essentially be operating as Finance Director for the group, leading on all finance matters and being accountable for the financial outcomes. You will provide advice and support on both strategic and operational finance in a £30m turnover business.

This is a senior position and the role holder is expected to use their considerable subject knowledge and expertise, and their leadership skills, to control and assure the delivery of financial outcomes - both internally and to our customers - through focused executive level engagement.

Your leadership skills will ensure you lead and develop the Global Digital Technology (GDT) Finance Business Partner (FBP) team and improve their skills and effectiveness in partnering across the whole of the Group whilst promoting a high performance culture.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience. You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in financial management and control in a large public or private sector organisation. You will be experienced in communicating with, presenting to and challenging senior management. As an experienced people manager, you will be able to develop relationships with your team and motivate them to maximise their performance.
