Salary £44,130

A Head for Pensions. A Heart for People.

Our client are a £23 billion organisation that protects millions of people who belong to thousands of eligible pension schemes throughout the UK.

Hundreds of thousands of people depend on them to pay them compensation for the pension they lost when their employers or former employers went bust and could no longer afford to pay what they had promised.

People don't choose to go to them, but they're there as their lifeboat when they need them - and they value every member.  For them, it's all about protecting people's futures - and that's their vision. So, why not join them and make a real difference to people's lives?

Now is the right time to join our client if you are a results oriented manager with a strong background in the pensions world.  If you have defined benefits pension experience, so much the better.  This role requires a highly effective manager who thrives in an environment where they can both personally deliver and deliver through their team.  You will know how to motivate, inspire and engage others to ensure that deadlines are met and project goals achieved.  The role will see you take responsibility for a wide range of work related to the levy, including:  planning and delivering the annual levy invoicing process;  co-ordinating the production of documents for consultations and the publication of the annual levy rules; providing secretariat services for key committees; managing a dispute resolution process and working with external stakeholders.  They will also engage you in project work to ensure that their levy process is consistently assessed and reviewed to ensure its ongoing development and refinement.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the pension protection levy, pensions environments and defined benefit terminology with the ability to effectively communicate complex terminology with various stakeholders. You will be an organised individual with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines, with an excellent understanding of both pension scheme events and the role of trustee, administrator and advisors and must be a competent IT user with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.  In return, they offer a diverse and challenging role that will offer you ample opportunity to work across departments and develop your skills and experience.  As an organisation they are committed to providing career development and support in addition to a generous remuneration package.

Our client operates the 'two ticks' scheme. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria for this role will be guaranteed an interview under this scheme.

They are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
