Finance Manager

A successful, privately owned business based in West Kent is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their expanding finance team. This position takes responsibility for the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and forecasts, as well as statutory accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who is a proven team leader to motivate, develop and up-skill an established team.

Responsibilities will include:
-Managing the transactional finance functions, ensuring any issues are reported to the FD in a timely manner. Overseeing the debtor management process to ensure that debts are recovered on time, and to minimise bad debt
-Managing and developing the Accounts Assistant, ensuring their duties are carried out and ensuring work development
-Build excellent working relationships with operational staff to ensure finance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
-Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for the group and associated companies
-Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual R&D claims
-Preparation and review of annual budgets
-Implementing and maintaining all processes and controls for the finance function
-Liaising with external auditors at year end
