Through acquisitions, it has diversified the business, and acquisition is key to the business model and constantly improving the services they can provide to both the private and public sector.

What you will be doing...

The role would be suitable for a Financial Controller who is able to take a collaborative with other areas of the business to improve processes, save cost, and direct the acquisition of new subsidary companies, helping integrate their finances within the business.

There will be a requirement to understand the challenges facing the business today, and how they will impact the future outlook of the business. You will work closely with the Business Finance Directors to deliver the annual budget, and obtain high quality financial information to drive value and good decision making throughout the business.

You will manage a large team both directly and indirectly, predominantly based in the UK but there will be other reports externally too. Your team will be involved in accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Your involvement in the recruitment and development of your team as their careers and the wider business grow will be paramount.

What the role requires...

The role requires somebody with the expertise gained through sitting professional qualifications, whether this be CIMA, ACCA or ACA. You will be an adept Financial Controller with extensive knowledge of UK GAAP and gained experience in the UK. You will have gained experience partnering with other aspects of the business. Experience gained managing a sizeable finance department is essential for the role.

Personality and softer skills are as crucial to the role as technical ability, and a candidate must be able to demonstrate commercial accumen and ability to build relationships with ease. Excellent communication is also important.
