Purchase Ledger Clerk

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Purchase Ledger Controller for a well established and stable Business in Hull. They turnover approximately £25 Million a year and have strong business links across Europe.

The role will be varied, busy and fast paced and will include the following duties:

-Responsible for the issue & distribution of purchase invoices on a daily basis
-Overviewing where invoices are within the business & chasing up invoices which have not been signed off within the procedural times
-Regular processing of company credit card transactions
-Communication with key departmental heads on the status of invoices
-Communication with suppliers to minimise invoice queries
-Update the Finance Manager on cash requirements for upcoming supplier payment runs
-Having weekly updates with the Finance Manager on invoice status
-Maintaining the KPI's for the purchase ledger


To be successful you MUST have the following attributes:

-At least 5 years' experience working within a purchase ledger environment. This experience must include:
oAAT qualified (ideal)
oGCSE minimum of B in Maths & C in English
oNominal coding of invoices
oFamiliarity with working with accounting systems including review of supplier ledger reports
oInteraction with personnel external to the finance team.
oA team player who is willing to assist the finance team during busy periods
oFlexible, especially during quarter end and year end periods
