Director of Finance & Business

This newly formed multi academy Trust, consisting of four schools, is now seeking a dynamic, influential Director of Finance & Business to lead on all aspects of finance and operational input. The successful candidate will provide high quality leadership and management of the schools business function, contributing to the preparation, implementation and review of the Trust Improvement and Growth plans. You will provide strategic and operational leadership in all aspects of business activities within the Trust's schools and be accountable for the operation,maintenance and development of systems, processes and procedures relating to budget, finance, administration, HR, premises, including ICT and health and safety.

Not only will you contribute to its key strategic plans, you will also be heavily involved in the day to day running of the financial operation. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, and directly responsible for a small finance team, you will ensure that an effective financial strategy is in place and complied with. You will develop and deliver a marketing strategy to support the growth of the Trust and provide leadership on all HR issues, Health & Safety and ICT.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, with experience of working as part of a school senior leadership team. You will possess detailed knowledge in managing budgets and income generation, coupled with the ability to analyse complex situations and have the gravitas to influence staff at all levels. In return, you will hold a pivotal role as part of a collaborative, growing Trust in which it puts the needs of its pupils first.
