Financial Accountant

Your new role
Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and presentation of analysis. Detailed examination of and accounting for all capital spends. Monitoring of costs and assessment of tax efficient options. Ensuring compliance with legislation and maximising cash flows. Carrying out analysis for identified projects to determine viability, share knowledge across teams to improve business performance, assessing opportunities & risks. Investment appraisal. Responsibility for balance sheet and monitoring working capital. Mitigating tax exposure. Compliance with accounting standards & reporting as per FRS102. Consolidated statutory accounts. Managing & developing the finance area of the ERP system. Staff management.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least three years post-qualification experience. You will have up to date knowledge of technical accounting issues & regulations. Ability to produce & interpret investment appraisals. Excellent commercial sense with ability to analyse information from different sources and make informed business decisions. Results oriented approach, focused on achieving measurable results. Capability of influencing stakeholders and ability to challenge the status quo. Identification of opportunities to improve efficiencies and develop enhanced internal controls.
