Financial Accountant

Duties

.Responsible for the execution of comprehensive general accounting and period closing activities and the delivery of reporting information to the wider Finance community in line with defined reporting protocols

.Assist Junior members of staff with their development

.Reviewing Income Statements and Balance Sheets on a monthly basis to highlight and investigate key variances while working closely with the business to resolve queries as they arise

.Production of the monthly VAT return, review and reconciliation of the key balance sheet accounts and management of fixed assets within your business unit

Requirements

.Part, or fully, qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or other recognised professional body)

.Flexible approach to working and have the ability to meet tight deadlines

.Strong communication skills and be comfortable dealing with senior members within the business (both finance and non-finance)

.Have a desire for continuous improvement and work on your own initiative both as an individual and as part of a team

.Desirable experience of Oracle. (However not essential)
