Group Technical Accountant

This role will be supporting the US Technical Reporting Manager and VP Global Reporting with accounting policy development, evaluation and presentation of technical accounting matters and resolving queries and issues logically in an efficient, timely, practical and commercial manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and update of internal and external accounting policies.
• Deliver US GAAP training across the Global Controllership team, other Group finance departments and businesses, developing the intranet as a tool to share information.
• Technical evaluation of accounting and proposed transactions (CAPEX, M&A, etc.) across the Group under US GAAP
• Analysis and documentation of the impact of revised standards on internal and external accounting policies

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
• Excellent technical understanding of US GAAP & its interpretations locally
• Good Excel Skills
• Detailed technical knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations are desirable
• The ability to retain high level views on issues whilst retaining attention to the detail & ensuring the integrity of the information produced
